"Delight" Bold & Bougie! Sleeps 12! Downtown Boyne

We arrived July 15, driving into the thickest wildfire smoke I’d ever seen. It was replaced in the following days by worse and worse smoke -- so bad that those grandchildren never got to go to the beach. This home provided the space we needed for our group of 8 to survive and not go stir-crazy. The bunk room downstairs does have legal egress, even tho you can’t see it in the pictures. The family room with huge TV provided a great place for kids to enjoy more screen time than they are usually allowed (because of the smoke.) And the 3 full baths meant each family had one to claim as their own. Another large TV in the living room upstairs let the adults have some screen time, too. The basketball hoops game was another chance to move and play to keep the kids (and adults) occupied.The Chamber of Commerce gave us ideas for indoor entertainment that we were able to enjoy. Raven Hill Discovery Center in E. Jordan was fascinating for both kids and adults and the water park at Boyne Mountain kept them busy the next day.What could have been a total loss for a vacation meant to be spent outside was manageable because of the space and layout of this home. There is an outdoor firepit (also not shown in the pictures) which we decided must be part of this property, but we did not end up using it. If you rent this property, please do make sure there are safety stops at both ends of the rolling barn door track downstairs. This was going to be corrected by the owner after we left.

We rented this home for our family reunion. Since there were so many beds in the large room downstairs, our young adults/partners got to enjoy being together for the week. We didn't spend much downtime at this house, and we didn't cook here any nights since we had a larger property where we ate dinner. This home was within walking distance of the lake.

This house gave me a few fun filled days with my grandchildren durning spring break. I recommend this property if you’re looking for a private place near Avalanche Bay.
