“Bliss” Retreat: Spacious & Luxe! Sleeps 15!

We stayed in Boyne City for a family reunion. The communication with Adam was pretty easy, as was the check-in. We selected this home for its proximity to downtown and the lake, both of which were within walking distance. The kitchen was pretty well stocked overall, which we appreciated for the few dinners we had at this home. There are 5 bedrooms upstairs with one bathroom and the other two bathrooms were downstairs. This wasn't ideal for our older family members but they made it work. The house is a bit dated and everything, including the carpets, could use a really good cleaning/replacement. The living room was a bit small so we ended up spending most evenings at another house we rented from a different property owner.

"Bliss Retreat" was wonderful for our family of nine. The location was great! An easy two block walk to a nice beach/park, three blocks to beautiful downtown Boyne City and a 5 minute car drive to Young State Park. All guests commented that the beds were super comfortable and the showers strong and hot. The house was stocked with almost everything we could possibly need. We would definitely stay in "Bliss Retreat" again!

Great location and loved that there were 3 bedrooms with king beds, with an additional 3 rooms for kids. Appreciated the plowing of the driveway that occurred while we were out and about! Hosts communicated proactively and well.

Overall it was a nice home that is in walking distance to downtown Boyne City. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen and dinning area was a nice size, the microwave above the stove had duck tape residue on it. Not sure why, we were able to use it, the residue didn't look nice was all. The bathrooms could use a little help. The first floor bathroom off the dining room had some water damage by the shower. The bathroom off the main bedroom was nice, it appeared the toilet had a very small leak and the upstairs bathroom needed a better cleaning. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at the home.

Great property. Highly recommend. Comfortably housed our group of 10 adults. Thoughtfully well equipped and in a great neighborhood that is easily walkable to downtown and water.
